It’s incredibly special choosing to slow things down before the big Indian wedding celebrations begin, and that is exactly what Ramneet and Jeevan did with their elopement in Banff National Park. Surrounded by the stillness of the mountains, this session brought calmness in a way that is often hard to find during a full wedding week.
Why Punjabi couples need to Elope more!!
For many South Asian couples, the wedding week is busy with events, family, photoshoots etc. Our wedding weeks can be so beautiful & fun, but it can also be overwhelming and exhausting. You almost feel like you can’t really enjoy your wedding with your partner which is so wild because it’s literally your wedding! This is what made this session feel so special in Banff, Alberta. There was no timeline to rush through, no expectations to meet, and no distractions. It allows for you to fully be present with each other and take in the moment without anything else pulling your attention away. Choosing to elope before everything begins is a beautiful way to honour your intimacy and create space for just the two of you.
Planning a Banff Elopement as a Vancouver-Based Couple
While Ramneet and Jeevan are born and raised in Alberta, if you are based in Vancouver but dreaming of an elopement in Banff, it is absolutely worth considering. The landscape alone creates a completely different experience, and when paired with intentional timing and the right approach, it becomes an unforgettable experience.
Elopements like this are not about replacing your big fat Indian wedding, they are about adding to it! They give you the chance to slow down, connect, and document the start of your marriage before stepping into the fun chaos of your wedding!
