I first met Alysha & Gurdeep in 2021 while photographing their best friends, Sonia & Sheldon’s wedding. Since then, our client-photographer relationship has grown into something that feels a lot more like friendship, so it meant so much that they trusted me to capture their engagement photos along the Oregon Coast. Alysha’s vision was to wear a black sari against the sand dunes, creating something that felt like a scene out of a Bollywood movie. Between the strong winds, sand everywhere and all of us laughing through the chaos, the session became such a core memory in their engagement era. Looking at the photos, you would never know the struggle behind this shoot but that is what made it even more special. Nonetheless, their gallery was a perfect blend of editorial and timeless images and memories for them to hold onto forever.
